You can't door a SEPTA bus*

Here's an email that we received on Wednesday night.
Today, I was riding the #2 bus southbound around 11:05am. We were passing Jefferson St. & we heard a loud crunch. The bus driver seemed very unconcerned with this mysterious metal noise. The driver did finally stop when people on the street motioned for him to stop. The 20-25 passengers left the bus to see what really happened.

Apparently, the bus struck a woman. She opened her car door and the bus rode through striking her car door and the woman. The woman was lying face-down on the street. The bottom of her torso was underneath her car. She seemed to be unresponsive. You could clearly see blood on her face and running down her arms. Her blood was starting to stream down the street.

The police first on the scene seemed to be very ambivalent towards the unconscious woman. I wanted to know on the status of the woman.
Does anyone know anything more?

This came up when I was searching for information on a woman I knew was hit by a bus. I confirmed the details with someone and she is the woman you are speaking of. She is currently home, but she has suffered extensive damages. From what I hear she will need extensive plastic surgery.
